Wiki.Cullect.com Now Live

Wiki.Cullect.com is where I’ll be putting notes, How-Tos, and other info on how to get the most out of Cullect. In general, documenting everything about Cullect.com.

I invite you to as well.

The wiki is open to anyone with a Cullect.com account. Again, Wiki.Cullect.com.

I’ve been wanting a wiki to easily and quickly document Cullect for a while now. I wasn’t able to find an existing wiki engine that integrated the way I wanted, so I built one. It’s still in the ‘experimental’ stages, so please send me a note if it’s not behaving as it should.

Thanks.

Internet Explorer Shows a Feed? It’s a Bug

mjkeliher and mnheadhunter have helped me identify a fairly serious bug with Cullect reading lists when viewed in Internet Explorer v6 or v7.

IE really wants to give you the reading list’s _feed_, rather than the HTML page.

I’m investigating workarounds. Until I get to the bottom of this, try a different browser.

Thanks, and sorry.

UPDATE
If you’re running IE - could you load up a reading list (i.e. http://cullect.com/1/latest) and let me know if you see the gray left-hand column w/ ‘feeds’, ‘curators’, etc in it. Thanks.

UPDATE 2
Sounds like IE is cooperating again. Yeah!

Cullect.com Members Support: EFF.org

The first monthly subscription with feed support came through the other day. I contacted the intended recipient (http://centralstandardtech.com) and they asked me to forward the donation on the Electronic Frontier Foundation and I happily handled the transaction.

While I expected some people would request the money to continue along, I didn’t expect it to be the very first feed supporter. A pleasant surprise.

As I’ve mentioned before, supporting a feed through your monthly Cullect subscription bumps up the importance of that feed in all the reading lists. So, Central Standard Tech got the boost (CST is an aggregator, making this even more interesting) and EFF got the bucks.

Makes me happy to see this working.
