Cullect Featured as a Participatory Journalism Tool

As part of the forthcoming E-competencies Conference in Mexico City later this week, Tom Elko recorded a video about Cullect’s 3C’s (context, collaboration, and curation) and using Cullect as a participatory journalism tool.

The bit specific to Cullect starts at the 5 minute mark.

Thanks Tom!

Identi.ca Parsing Buggy

I noticed an issue w/ Identi.ca json feeds tonight not being parsed correctly. I’m investigating, and will post updates here.

The bug has been identified and will be fixed as part of Friday’s weekly build.

Cullect woke up a little grumpy this morning.

Some parts of the site may not be as responsive as they should.

Updates here as I know more.

We Will Rock You (and Your Feeds)

“sorting my feed content in @cullect - this thing rocks, no more ‘You have 11,0000 gazillion unread items’ YAY thanks @garrickvanburen” - Jennifer Bohmbach

Thanks. Good to know feed readers can still rock.

Culld.us: Now With Built-In Twitter Client - and Statistics

Culld.us now has a built-in Twitter client - based on the assumption that if you need a shortened URL, it’s likely you want to post it on Twitter.

Here’s a screencast of how it works:

Developer’s Note: Culld.us is built entirely on Cullect’s Item Stats widget. So, you can easily integrate Culld.us into your WordPress blog or other publishing system and see Cullect statistics on everything you publish.

Temporarily Sluggish

Things are going to be a little slow in Cullect for a bit. My apologies. I’m investigating.

Update 05 Oct 2008: The culprit’s been identified and is currently on probation. Things are back to normal.
